Die Erweiterung ist mit einem 2- geschossigen Neubau (mit Teilunterkellerung als WU-Konstruktion) inkl. Zugangsbereich und Sporthalle vorgesehen. Das Gebäude ist als Ortbeton-, Halbfertigteil-(Wände/ Decken) und Mauerwerkskonstruktion konzipiert. Eine sep. Werkhalle für den Bereich Arbeitstherapie mit Anbindung an das bestehende Gebäude 50 gehört ebenfalls zum Erweiterungsumfang und somit zur Baumaßnahme. Die Werkhalle ist ebenfalls als Ortbeton- und Halbfertigteilkonstruktion (Wände) konzipiert. Zur Wärmeerzeugung kommt eine bidirektionale Wärmepumpe zum Einsatz, die in der Ebene -3 aufgestellt wird und von der bereits vorhandenen Geothermiebohrungen gespeist wird. Die Wärmeübergabe in den Geschossen erfolgt über Fb.-Heizung, über die das Gebäude auch gekühlt werden soll. In den Technikräumen kommen Umluftkühlgeräte zum Einsatz.
