Für die Durchführung mikrochirurgischer Eingriffe, insbesondere in der Katarakt-, Netzhaut- und Hornhautchirurgie, ist der Einsatz hochauflösender Operationsmikroskope zwingend erforderlich. Für die operative Patientenversorgung stehen insgesamt vier Operationssäle zur Verfügung, die jeweils mit einem stereoskopischen Operationsmikroskop ausgestattet sind. Gegenstand der Beschaffung ist die Ersatzbeschaffung eines Operationsmikroskops für einen der vier Operationssäle. Das derzeit eingesetzte Gerät stammt aus dem Jahr 2004 und entspricht aufgrund seines Alters und der technischen Entwicklung nicht mehr dem aktuellen Stand der Medizintechnik. Es kann den heutigen Anforderungen an moderne ophthalmologische Eingriffe nur noch eingeschränkt gerecht werden. Mit der Ersatzbeschaffung soll der betroffene Operationssaal auf den aktuellen Stand der Technik gebracht werden. Hierdurch werden insbesondere die Bildqualität, Ausleuchtung und intraoperative Unterstützung bei komplexen augenchirurgischen Eingriffen verbessert. Dies trägt zu einer höheren Operationssicherheit und einer verbesserten Patientenversorgung bei. Aufgrund des kontinuierlich steigenden Operationsaufkommens ist die uneingeschränkte Nutzbarkeit aller vier Operationssäle für die Sicherstellung der operativen Versorgung erforderlich. Derzeit sind bereits drei der vier Operationssäle mit modernen Operationsmikroskopen ausgestattet.
