Die Maßnahme umfasst den Rück- und Neubau von Gleis- und Weichenanlagen, die Herstellung von Zugbildungs-, Abstell- und Innenreinigungsanlagen sowie umfangreiche Tiefbauarbeiten. Weiterhin sind die Errichtung von Leitungs- und Medieninfrastruktur für Strom, Wasser und Abwasser, der Bau von Pumpwerken, Schächten, Tanks und Entwässerungsanlagen sowie die Herstellung von Oberleitungsfundamenten, Dienstwegen, Bahnsteigpodesten und Betriebsflächen vorgesehen.
