Ausgehend von zwei Rechenzentrums-Standorten in der Stadt Freital werden heute IT-Dienste für die verschiedenen Verwaltungsstellen und Ämter bereitgestellt. Für den Betrieb der einzelnen IT-Dienste und Fachverfahren betreibt die Stadt Freital heute ein 3-Tier VMware-Streched-Cluster, welches symmetrisch auf zwei georedundante Standorte aufgeteilt ist.
