Add and connect your files

Your library in the Inteliwert dashboard holds the files you work with: your references, CVs, certificates and policies, a tender’s documents, and anything else you want to search and ask about. This guide shows how to upload files, keep them apart in folders and connect sources that keep themselves up to date.

1. Your library

Sign in at dashboard.inteliwert.com and open Library. A library belongs to your workspace, and you decide who sees it: everyone in the workspace, or only the people you add. Nothing in it is published, and it is kept apart from the public tenders in Inteliwert’s catalogue.

Reading files and answering questions about them use the AI credits of your plan (plans and credits).

2. Upload files

  1. Open Library and pick a folder, for example Uploads.
  2. Drag files onto the page, or choose Upload files.
  3. Watch each file’s status move from Waiting and Reading to Ready.

Inteliwert reads PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Markdown, HTML, plain text, CSV and more. One upload can be up to 95 MB.

Waiting
The file is in line to be read.
Reading
Inteliwert is reading the file’s text and the details in it.
Ready
The file can be searched, and the assistant can cite it.
Could not read this file
Open the status to see why. Then choose Read again, or upload a better copy.

Scanned pages and images are read from the picture, and recordings are written down with the speakers told apart. A passage read this way is marked as such: a letter or digit in a scan may be misread, and a name in a recording may be misheard, so check it against the file.

3. Keep files apart in folders

A folder holds the files you upload into it, and every upload goes into one. Uploads is there from the start. Create a folder for each thing you want to keep apart, such as one tender, one client or your company’s own evidence: choose New source in the Library’s list and pick Folder.

Deleting a folder keeps its files: they move to Uploads.

4. Connect a source

A connected source brings files into your library and keeps them up to date. Choose New source in the Library’s list, pick the kind, fill in its address and, where it needs one, its sign-in details, and choose how often it updates.

Web addresses
The web pages you list, one per line. A page that changes updates the same file.
News feed
An RSS feed. Each entry becomes a file dated by when it was published. You choose whether to keep the feed’s own text or, for new entries, the full article.
GitHub
A repository’s issues, each with its history, or the Markdown files on its main branch.
Jira
A project’s tickets, each with the history of every field change.
Notion
The pages you share with a Notion integration.
WebDAV folder
A share on Nextcloud, ownCloud, Synology or another WebDAV server.
Cloud storage
An S3 bucket, or storage that works the same way such as MinIO, Ceph or Cloudflare R2; also Azure Blob Storage and Google Cloud Storage.

A source updates by hand, every few hours, every day, every week or on a custom schedule. Update now brings in changes at once, and History lists each update with what it added and changed.

For a source, Inteliwert reaches public internet addresses only, and it keeps the sign-in details you enter encrypted in your workspace.

5. When a source changes

  • A changed item updates the same file in your library, and the earlier version is kept.
  • An item that is no longer in the source is marked “Not in source”. Nothing is deleted on its own; Clean up removes those files when you decide to.
  • Changing what a source brings in never deletes the files you already have.
  • A deleted file waits under Deleted and can be restored. Delete for good removes the file and everything read from it.

6. Ask about your files

Once a file is Ready, search your files and ask about them in the Assistant. An answer cites the passages it rests on, and a citation opens the passage in its file. An answer that cites nothing is marked “Not found in the indexed documents”.

To ask from Claude or another assistant instead, see Use Inteliwert with Claude.

Inteliwert shows where a file says something. It does not check whether what the file says is true.
