Das neue BUW Ammendorf ersetzt nach Fertigstellung das bestehende BUW Ammendorf. Bei dem Hochbau für das BUW handelt es sich um ein mit einem Kriechkeller unterkellertes eingeschossiges Gebäude, welches auf einer Bodenplatte aus wu-Beton gegründet wird. Die aufgehenden Wände werden im Wesentlichen aus Stahlbeton-Halbfertigteilen, ein Teil der Innenwände auch als Voll-Fertigteil erstellt. Die Kellerdecke im Sozialbereich wird ebenfalls als Voll-Fertigteil gefertigt. Die Anlagenräume erhalten einen aufgeständerten Schaltwartenboden (Bestandteil Los 4) und die Traforäumen einen aufgeständerten Fußboden mit Trafoführungsschienen und Gitterrosten. Die Gebäudedecke wird aus Filigrandecken sowie Aufbeton gefertigt. Das Gesamtbauvorhaben gliedert sich in mehrere Lose, welche von unterschiedlichen Firmen ausgeführt werden.
