Die Gemeinde Lotte betreibt die mechanisch-biologische Zentralkläranlage (KA) Wersen (Inbetriebnahme 1987) für das häuslichen Abwässer aus den Ortsteile Büren, Halen und Wersen. Derzeitiger Betrieb: simultan-aerobe Schlammstabilisierung mit intermittierender Nitrifikation/Denitrifikation. Ziel ist die Verfahrensumstellung auf anaerobe Schlammstabilisierung mit Vorklärung und Faulung samt energetischer Verwertung des Faulgases. Eine Entwurfsplanung liegt vom Juli 2024 vor. Für die Fortführung der Planungsleistung sucht die Gemeinde Lotte einen geeigneten Generalplaner. Für Regelungen und Inhalt des Verfahrens vgl. die mit der Bekanntmachung veröffentlichten Vergabeunterlagen.
