Lot LOT-0001: Stadtteilarchitekt
Unter dem Titel "Zukunftskonzept Monschau Altstadt" hat die Stadt Monschau hat ein integriertes städtebauliches Entwicklungskonzept für die Altstadt entwickelt. Der historische Gebäudebestand gibt der als Denkmalbereich unter Schutz gestellten Altstadt ihr Gesicht und prägt ihr unverwechselbares Erscheinungsbild. Die Sicherung zeitgemäßer Wohnungsangebote bei gleichzeitiger Wahrung der denkmalgeschützten, denkmalwerten oder stadtbildprägenden Gebäude ist vorrangiges Ziel. ebenso gilt es die gewerblich genutzten Einheiten zu erhalten und bestehende Nutzungen zu stärken. Leerstände und Fehlnutzungen sollen vermieden werden. Entsprechend sollen die Häuser eine sensible Sicherung und Sanierung erfahren und neben dem Wohnen auch neuen Nutzungen zugeführt werden, die die Altstadt beleben. In Folge sollen auch neue Eigentümerinnen und Eigentümer und Interessenten gewonnen werden.
