From the notice
In jüngster Vergangenheit wurde eine erhöhte Anzahl von Radbrüchen an Güterwagen dokumentiert. Ein schwerwiegender Unfall im Gotthard-Tunnel in der Schweiz hat die Relevanz des Themas aufgezeigt. Gegenwärtig widmen sich mehrere Untersuchungsbehörden und Forschungseinrichtungen, darunter auch eine Arbeitsgruppe des JNS der ERA, der Erforschung dieses Themas. Im Eisenbahnsektor bestehen derzeit unterschiedliche Bewertungen bezüglich der Ursachen dieses Phänomens. Der Stand der Forschung zum Thema Radbrüche und den damit zusammenhängenden Unfällen ist derzeit sehr unübersichtlich, da dieser auf unterschiedliche Institutionen und Länder verteilt ist. Ziel ist es daher, den aktuellen Kenntnisstand sowie bekannte Forschungsaktivitäten zu dieser Fragestellung in einer Vorstudie zu analysieren und zu schließende Forschungslücken und Informationsbedarfe für die weitere Forschung herauszuarbeiten. Insbesondere soll erhoben werden, welche Einflüsse zu Rissen in Rädern bei Güterwagen führen, ob diese durch einzelne Ereignisse oder dauerhafte Einwirkung entstehen und wie diese Einflüsse minimiert oder vermieden werden können. Hierzu werden Ursachen und Folgenabschätzung gegenübergestellt. Die Erkenntnisse der Studie stellen zeitnah einen neutralen Überblick über den weiteren Forschungsbedarf dar und liefern eine wissenschaftlich begründete Priorisierung, welche weiteren Untersuchungen folgen müssen.
