Der Landkreis Emsland beabsichtigt an der von der BBS Papenburg bereits teilweise genutzten Pestalozzischule Papenburg, Kreuzweg 9-11 einen Neubau mit Fachunterrichtsräumen, sowie allgemeinen Unterrichtsräumen zu errichten. Die beiden Gebäude werden durch einen Flur im Obergeschoss miteinander verbunden. Der gesamte Neubau soll eine moderne tageslicht- und präsenzabhängige LED-Beleuchtung erhalten. Weiterhin wird das gesamte Gebäude mit einer Sicherheitsbeleuchtung als Zentralbatterieanlage in 3-stündiger Ausführung ausgestattet. Zur Alarmierung wird das Gebäude mit einer flächendeckenden ELA-Anlage als SAA mit entsprechender brandabschnittsweiser E30 Verkabelung in A/B-Technik ausgestattet. Außerdem erhält das Gebäude eine flächendeckende Brandmeldeanlage mit automatischen und nicht automatischen Meldern. Diese soll auf die neue SAA aufgeschaltet werden. Es erfolgt eine Aufschaltung zur Feuerwehr. Im Bestand befindet sich bereits eine Brandmeldeanlage vom Fabrikat Bosch, die beiden Brandmeldeanlagen sind mit entsprechenden Kopplern miteinander zu verquicken. Es wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass die E30 Decke im Obergeschoss keineswegs durchdrungen werden darf. Weiterhin soll im Zuge der Neubaumaßnahme die abgängige Flurbeleuchtung im Übergangsbereich zwischen Neubau und Bestand demontiert und entsorgt werden und gegen eine neue tageslicht- und präsenzabhängige LED-Beleuchtung ausgetauscht werden. Weiterhin sollen auch hier neue Steckdosen und Kabel installiert werden.
