Die zunehmende Auslastung des bisherigen LC-MS Gerätes bei steigendem Ausfallrisiko durch die Alterung ohne Verfügbarkeit eines back-ups machen die Neubeschaffung unumgänglich. Darüber hinaus erhöht sich die Patientensicherheit durch die Schaffung eines back-ups. Diese Technologie wurde als Schlüsseltechnologie im Zuge der Gründung der MUL-CT identifiziert und wird neben dem Bereich der Patientenversorgung auch in weiteren Bereichen unumgänglich sein.
