Lot LOT-0001: Erweiterung des HPC-Speichersystems um ein IBM ESS3500-System
Gegenstand ist die Erweiterung des bestehenden HPC-Speichersystems um ein weiteres IBM-ESS3500-System, das in Spezifikation (Kapazität, Speichermedien, Controller-Leistung, Anbindung) mit drei im Jahr 2022 beschafften ESS3500-Systemen identisch ist. Der Auftrag umfasst: Lieferung eines IBM-ESS3500, Modell 5141-FN2 Systems mit 16x64GB DDR4 DIMM, 24x15,36TB PCIe 5 NVMe SSD einschließlich der zugehörigen Erweiterungsgehäuse IBM-ESS4U 102, Modell 5147-102 [Anzahl entsprechend den Bestandssystemen: zwei] mit jeweils 102x18TB Enterprise HDD, "Keep your Harddrive" Option. Installation und Konfiguration im vorhandenen Systemschrank und Anschluss an das vorhandene InfiniBand-Netzwerk, Einbindung in das bestehende IBM-Spectrum-Scale-Dateisystem durch Erweiterung der vorhandenen SSD- und HDD-Speicherpools, Lieferung aller erforderliche Images und Lizenzen. 1 x Red Hat Enterprise Linux für ESS3000, incl. 5yr. Subscription & Support, 1 x IBM Storage Scale Data Access Edition for IBM Storage Scale System, incl. 5yr. Subscription & Support, Update und Test des gelieferten Systems. Integration in die bestehende Speicherumgebung. Update und Test aller vier IBM ESS Systeme im Verbund, sowie Integration des neuen Systems in bestehende IBM Spectrum Scale Filesysteme. Überprüfung der Gesamtsystemleistung mit Hilfe der im Vertrag 2022 bereit gestellten Benchmarks. Einbeziehung des neuen Systems in die spezifische jährliche Software Wartung nach den Regeln des Vertrags von 2022 ( jährliches Firmware-Update, Software-Updates). Weitere Anforderungen: Lieferung, Installation und Konfiguration müssen ohne Unterbrechung des laufenden Dateisystembetriebs erfolgen. Das System muss mit den Bestandssystemen identisch sein, damit Daten und Zugriffe weiterhin gleichmäßig verteilt werden (Striping), Platzierungs- und Migrationsrichtlinien, Fileset-Zuordnungen und Quotas unverändert bleiben und die Leistung für die angeschlossenen HPC-Ressourcen vorhersagbar und reproduzierbar bleibt. Nach Abschluss sollen alle vier Systeme einheitlich nach den Regeln des vorhergehenden Vertrags aktualisiert und gewartet werden. Anlass: Der zusätzliche Kapazitätsbedarf ergibt sich aus neuen Forschungsprojekten und war seinerzeit so nicht nicht vorgesehen.
