Die Gemeinde Haidmühle plant, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Regierung von Niederbayern, das ehemalige Hallenbad in ein Bürgerzentrum mit Veranstaltungshalle umzufunktionieren. Im November 2025 hat der Gemeinderat von Haidmühle die Schließung des Hallenbades beschlossen. In der Oktober-Sitzung 2026 hat der Gemeinderat mögliche Perspektiven für das ehemalige Hallenbad besprochen. Gegenstand des Verhandlungsverfahrens sind Planungsleistungen nach HOAI 2021 Teil 4 Fachplanung Abschnitt 1 Tragwerksplanung § 51 Leistungsbild Tragwerksplanung.

Die Gemeinde Haidmühle plant, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Regierung von Niederbayern, das ehemalige Hallenbad in ein Bürgerzentrum mit Veranstaltungshalle umzufunktionieren. Im November 2015 hat der Gemeinderat von Haidmühle die Schließung des Hallenbades beschlosssen. Grund war die nachlassende Akzeptanz, die marode Bausubstanz und die steigenden Kosten. In der Oktober-Sitzung 2026 hat der Gemeinderat mögliche Perspektiven für das ehemalige Hallenbad besprochen. Es soll ein Gebäude mit Geschichte und mit Zukunft entstehen. Im Mittelpunkt der Überlegungen steht eine Veranstaltungs- und Mehrzweckhalle, die künftig Raum für unterschiedliche Nutzungen bieten könnte, von kulturellen Veranstaltungen und Feierlichkeiten bis hin zu Angeboten für Gäste und Besucher. Eine wesentliche Frage ist, ob der Saal überwiegend saisonal oder ganzjährig genutzt werden soll. Diese Entscheidung hat großen Einfluss auf die weitere Planung, die bauliche Ausstattung sowie die Investitions-und die Betriebskosten.
