Hintergrund: Der AG hat sich entschieden, für die LST eine einheitliche Systemarchitektur vorzugeben, in die die verschiedenen Teilsysteme und Komponenten der LST unabhängig von den Produkten und Technologien der verschiedenen Anbieter eingebunden werden können. Basis für die produkt- und technologieunabhängige Systemarchitektur sind u.a. die Vereinheitlichung sowie die Harmonisierung aller Schnittstellen und der Kommunikationswege für die LST. Der AG verfolgt hiermit das Ziel, eine zukunftsfähige und wirtschaftliche Infrastruktur zu schaffen. Mit dem Projekt „Design integrierter Bedienplatz“ („DiB“) wurde ein systemunabhängiges integriertes Leit- und Bediensystem („iLBS“) entwickelt, welches hersteller- und hardwareneutral die unterschiedlichen Anwendungen in einem Standard-Bedienplatz bündelt und die Heterogenität in der bisherigen Bedienlandschaft aufhebt. Über eine neu entwickelte standardisierte Schnittstelle (SCI-CC-LST) zwischen Stellwerk und Bediensystem ist es möglich, die Bedienung zu vereinheitlichen und die Unterschiede zwischen den einzelnen Herstellertypen in der Stellwerksbedienung aufzuheben. Mit dem integrierten Bediensystem („iBS“, ein Teilsystem des iLBS) ist es möglich, unabhängig vom Standort und herstellerübergreifend digitale und elektronische Stellwerke im Fern- und Ballungsnetz wie auch im Regionalnetz flexibel zu Bedienorten zuzuordnen und zu steuern.
