    "Geplant ist eine Bestandssanierung für das Fraunhofer-Institut für Schicht- und Oberflächentechnik in Braunschweig. Das aus dem Jahr 1994 stammende Gebäude soll in mehreren Bauabschnitten saniert werden. Die geplante Umbaumaßnahme wird Arbeitsplätze für insgesamt 160 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter zur Verfügung stellen. Hierfür werden ca. 4386 m² Nutzfläche, bestehend aus Büro-, Labor- und Lagerflächen mit entsprechender Infrastruktur benötigt. Die Sanierung erfolgt im laufenden Betrieb. Für jeden Bauabschnitt wird der betroffene Gebäudeteil vorab vollständig leergeräumt. Die übrigen Bereiche werden während der Bauarbeiten weiter genutzt. Interimsmaßnahmen und Umzüge sind zu berücksichtigen. Die Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft als Zuwendungsempfänger von öffentlichen Mitteln legt großen Wert auf die Realisierung eines innovativen, nachhaltigen und ressourcenschonenden, aber gleichzeitig wirtschaftl. Gebäude-, Energie- und Betriebskonzepts. Das VGV-Verfahren ist für die Sanierung des 1.BA, optional kann eine Weiterbeauftragung für die weiteren BA durchgeführt werden."
