Das Projekt beinhaltet den Neubau zweier ESTW – A, in den Orten Oberstdorf und Fischen. An beiden Orten wird die neue ESTW-Technik in Bestandsgebäuden errichtet. Der Bf Oberstdorf ist Endbahnhof (Kopfbahnhof) der eingleisigen Nebenbahn, Strecke 5402, Immenstadt-Oberstdorf in km 20,731. Aktuelle Stellwerkstechnik ist SpDr L 60. Bei einer Stellwerksbegehung am 11.12.2023 wurde großflächig ein sehr schlechter Zustand der Verdrahtung festgestellt, welcher einen unverzüglichen Stellwerkersatz erfordert. Der Bf Fischen befindet sich ebenfalls an der Strecke 5402, bei km 14,750. Auch hier ist ein dringender Erneuerungsbedarf der abgängigen, alten Stellwerkstechnik (SpDr L 60) notwendig. Im Rahmen der Projekte Neubau ESTW-A MOF und ESTW-A MFN werden Tiefbau-, LST-, TK- und 50 HZ-Arbeiten umgesetzt. Die Arbeiten beinhalten ferner die anfallenden Signalfundamente und Fundamente für Kabelschränke.
