Mit dem Bau der "Zentralklinik Ostfriesische Meere" schaffen die Gebietskörperschaften des Landkreises Aurich und der Stadt Emden über ihre gemeinsame Trägergesellschaft Kliniken Aurich-Emden-Norden eine Medizinversorgung der Zukunft für den ländlichen Raum in kommunaler Trägerschaft. Die drei heutigen Krankenhausstandorte der Grund- und Regelversorgung in Aurich, Emden und Norden werden zu einem modernen Klinik-Campus mit einem Leistung- und Qualitätsanspruch eines Schwerpunktversorgers, mit wesentlichen Maximalversorgungsanteilen, perspektivisch zu entwickelnder Anbindung zu den Universitäten in der Region, im verkehrstechnischen Mittelpunkt der drei Städte zusammengefasst. Die Wagenwaschanlage soll zur automatisierten Reinigung und bedarfsgerechten Aufbereitung sämtlicher Ver- und Entsorgungswagen des FTS eingesetzt werden. In Kombination mit der Erweiterung der Anlage mit Staustrecken und einem eigenen Transportsystem soll die automatisierte Annahme der Wagen zur Weiterbearbeitung und der automatisierte Austransport der aufbereiteten Ver-/Entsorgungswagen ermöglicht werden. Schnittstellen zur Übergabe der Wagen von und an das FTS-System der Klinik sorgen für die Realisierung eines effizienten Gesamtsystems für die Wagenlogistik in der zukünftigen Klinik. Ergänzt wird die Ausschreibung der Anlagentechnik und der Automatisierung mit den notwendigen Service-/ Wartungsverträgen mit einer Laufzeit von 10 Jahren.
