Das Projekt „Neubau ESTW-A Wernberg“ befindet sich im Netz Regensburg auf der Strecke 5860 im Bereich von km 58,235 bis km 86,230. Im Rahmen der Maßnahme erfolgen Anpassungen der Anlagen der bahntechnischen Ausrüstung sowie die hierfür erforderlichen Änderungen der Kabelführungssysteme und Kabelverlegungsarbeiten entlang des rund 28 km langen Streckenabschnitts. Ergänzend hierzu wird der Umbau von vier Bahnübergängen einschließlich der zugehörigen Straßenanpassungen durchgeführt.
