Auf dem Schulcampus des bestehenden Alstergymnasium in Henstedt-Ulzburg ist ein Neubau des Schulgebäudes und die Teilsanierung der Bestandsdreifeld - Sporthallen geplant. Die Bauaufgabe ist dabei in mehrere Bauabschnitte untergliedert: Neubau eines Schulgebäudes auf dem bisherigen Sportplatz, vollumfänglicher Rückbau des Bestandsgebäudes, Teilsanierung der bestehenden 2 Dreifeld-Sporthallen, sowie über alles eine neue Gestaltung der Freiflächen. Die Vorgabe der Planung ist ein sechs zügiges Gymnasiums für ca. 1300 SchülerInnen, sowie ca. 100 Lehrkräfte. Der Schulneubau für das Alstergymnasium wird auf dem bestehenden Sportplatz im Nord- Osten des Schulcampus platziert. Die Haupterschließung erfolgt für den Hauptteil der Schülerschaft und die Lehrkräfte von Süden. Für einen kleineren Teil der Schülerschaft erfolgt die Erschließung von Westen. Durch die Platzierung im Nord-Osten des Grundstücks orientiert sich der neue Schulhof nach Süden und Südwesten. Der 4-geschossige Neubau besteht aus 5 Baukörpern. Es gibt 4 Klassenhäuser, von denen eins als Fachklassenhaus definiert ist (B1-B4). Ein zentraler Baukörper (A) in der Mitte dient als verbindendes Element zwischen den 4 Klassenhäusern.
