Der vorrangige Einsatzzweck des AB-AStra ist die Bereitstellung einer umfangreichen Ausrüstung zur Unterstützung von Atemschutzträgern sowie die Nutzung als mobile Atemschutzwerkstatt bei größeren Einsätzen.
