Koordination Nachhaltiges Bauen für den Abbruch des Viktoriabads und des Stadtmuseums in Bonn, sowie den Neubau einer Universitätsbibliothek auf den Bestandsuntergeschossen mit gleichzeitigem Erhalt der denkmalgeschützten Fassade in Richtung Belderberg. Im Zusammenhang mit der geplanten Kernsanierung des Hauptgebäudes der Universität Bonn sind ergänzende Flächen erforderlich, um für Forschung und Lehre auch weiterhin bestmögliche Voraussetzungen zu schaffen. Das Areal Viktoriakarree befindet sich in der Bonner Innenstadt direkt gegenüber dem Ostflü-gel des Hauptgebäudes der Universität Bonn und damit in prominenter Lage. Durch diese Verortung kommt dem Viktoriakarree eine besondere Rolle im innerstädtischen Gefüge zu. Die Flächen am Viktoriakarree sollen das Hauptgebäude adäquat ergänzen. Ein großer Teil des Baukörpers wird zukünftig Bibliotheken aufnehmen, die heute im Hauptgebäude unterge-bracht sind. Die Universität möchte mit einem einladenden und offenen Konzept die Stadtge-sellschaft zu Begegnung und Austausch einladen und Neugier wecken, für Wissenschaft und Forschung. Geplant ist auf dem Viktoriakarree die Errichtung eines Bibliotheksneubaus, die Unterbrin-gung des Kulturforums sowie zusätzlicher Nebenfunktionen wie einer Fahrradgarage sowie einer gastronomischen Einheit.
