Die Studierendenwerke betreiben derzeit eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher, historisch gewachsener ERP-Module mit einem hohen Anteil an Individualsoftware. Dies führt zu kostenintensiven Supportstrukturen, Mehrfachaufwand durch Entwicklungs- und Upgrade-Projekte sowie einem ressourcenintensiven Betrieb. Ihr Ziel ist die Ablösung dieser heterogenen Landschaft durch eine einheitliche, zukunftsfähige ERP-Plattform auf Basis einer einheitlichen Datenstruktur. Gegenstand dieses Auftrags ist die Beratungsleistung zur Marktbewertung und Handlungsempfehlung für die Ablösung der ERP-Systemarchitektur auf Basis einer einheitlichen Datenstruktur der 12 in der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Studierendenwerke NRW zusammengeschlossenen Studierendenwerke. Der Auftrag ist Teil einer Beschaffung von Beratungsleistungen zur (weiteren) Digitalisierung der Studierendenwerke NRW. Er beinhaltet das erste Los des Gesamtvorhabens. Die weiteren Lose werden in einem oder mehreren gesonderten Vergabeverfahren vergeben.
