Die derzeitige interne WLAN-Infrastruktur soll erneuert werden. Das bereits erneuerte Fahrgast-WLAN besteht ausschließlich aus Cisco-Komponenten. Um Synergien zwischen den beiden WLAN-Netzwerken zu nutzen, soll auch das neue interne WLAN-Netz mit Cisco-Komponenten aufgebaut werden. Nach der initialen Erneuerung des internen WLAN-Netzes, soll das gesamte ÜSTRA WLAN in den nächsten Jahren weiter ausgebaut werden. Die Beschaffung für die initiale Erneuerung und den weiteren Ausbau von neuen WLAN-Komponenten soll durch den hier ausgeschriebenen Rahmenvertrag erfolgen. Es sollen WLAN-Komponenten des Herstellers Cisco geliefert, gewartet und der Service für diese Komponenten erbracht werden. Zu diesen Komponenten zählen unter anderem: - Accesspoint (Indoor und Outdoor) - WLAN-Controller - Management System - Switches - Zubehör - Software für den Betrieb der Komponenten Diese Ausschreibung erfolgt in einem mehrstufigen Verfahren mit Teilnahmewettbewerb. In dieser ersten Phase ist ausschließlich die Eignung nachzuweisen.
